Food intolerance can take various forms. These include intolerances, allergies and, among others, IgG4-mediated intolerances.

Intolerances and allergies are not analysed in our FOOD REACTION TEST.

The FOOD REACTION TEST analyses IgG4-mediated food intolerances, which are a subgroup of IgG antibodies.

Basically, the body forms IgG4 antibodies when food is ingested. It is assumed that symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, abdominal pain, water retention or skin rashes are associated with a high concentration of IgG4 antibodies.

Some studies describe a clear correlation between well-being and the IgG4 levels tested (e.g. Aalberse et al., 1993; Harris et al., 1987). In addition, the study by Bernadi et al. shows that 78.5% of the test subjects experienced an improvement or absence of symptoms after avoiding the intolerance-tested foods.

In the subsequent examination of the IgG4 values, these fell significantly in 89.5% of the patients.

This emphasises the correlation between IgG4 antibodies and well-being (Bernadi et al. 2008).

Our FOOD REACTION TEST therefore tells you which foods your body reacts to with a high concentration of IgG4 antibodies and which it does not.
