With Health Connect installed on your Android device you can sync your exercise and food data from Lifesum to other apps in an easy way.


Which apps does currently support Health Connect?

Currently, the following apps that we have individual connections for can also be connected via Health Connect:

  • Samsung Health
  • Google Fit
  • Fitbit
Note! If you have had any issues with one of the individual connections with any of these apps, please try to instead connect via Health Connect as that could potentially help.

How can I set up Lifesum to work with Health Connect?


In order set up Lifesum to Health Connect you must go in under Progress -> Profile -> Settings -> Automatic Tracking.

There you will see the Health Connect option on top:

After pressing "Set Up Health Connect" you will be sent to the screen below where you can choose what data you want synced from Lifesum to Health Connect.

Note! If you do not have Health Connect installed, by pressing the "Set Up" button you will be sent to Google Play Store and get the option to download the app.


If you are already connected to Health Connect you will see this screen:


Here you have three options:

1. Pressing the SYNC button will trigger a manual sync where we import data from Health Connect to Lifesum.

2. Pressing SETTINGS will take you into the Health Connect app to manage your settings there.

3. Pressing DISCONNECT will remove the connection between Lifesum and Health Connect.

What data can I import?

The type of data you import to Lifesum can be changed from within Health Connect at any time. Currently we support the following data types:
  • Exercise
  • Total calories burned

  • Steps tracked


What data can I export?

The type of data you export from Lifesum can be changed from within Health Connect at any time. Currently we support the following data types:

  • Nutrition (food tracked)
  • Hydration (water tracked)
