Staying hydrated is essential for your health, and the Lifesum app makes it easy to track your daily water intake. Whether you’re using your phone or Apple Watch, you can log your water consumption and monitor your progress over time. Here’s how it works:

Tracking Water

On your phone:

  • Use the water tracker in your Diary to log water intake.
  • Tap on the glasses or bottles to add water.
    • To log multiple glasses or bottles at once, click on the last glass or bottle to the right (e.g., clicking on the fourth glass fills all four at once).
  • If you need to remove any entries, simply tap the filled glass or bottle again to empty it.

On your Apple Watch:

  • Add water in glasses directly via the watch interface.
    • Note: Bottles tracked on the phone will be automatically converted to glasses on the Apple Watch.

Important Notes

  • The water tracker records the amount of fluid only; it does not calculate calories.
    • To track calories for a drink, log it as a food item to one of your meals in the diary.

Customizing Your Water Tracker

Go to Settings > Water Settings to adjust how you track water:

  • Choose whether to log by glasses (250 ml each) or bottles (500 ml each).
  • Use the slider to set your daily water goal.

The app also automatically increases your water target by 250 ml for every 30 minutes of exercise you log.

You can enable an option to export your water consumption data to Apple Health in the same view.

Viewing Your Water Intake

To review your hydration progress:

  1. Go to the Progress tab in the app.
  2. Click on Statistics to view the Water Intake graph, which shows your logged water consumption over previous days.

By using the water tracker, you can stay on top of your hydration goals and ensure you're drinking enough water every day!
