Recording your exercises in the Lifesum app helps you keep track of your fitness goals by recording your physical activity and its impact on your overall health.

Ways to record exercises in Lifesum

1. Automatic Measurement with Apple Health

Connect your Lifesum account directly to Apple Health. You can also synchronise with all major fitness apps via Apple Health, such as Google Fit, Strava, Runkeeper and Garmin Connect. To connect to Fitbit you may need a third party app at the moment in order to connect it to Apple Health.

2. Select workouts from the workout list

Use the app's built-in workout database to track your activity by selecting a predefined exercise.

3. Use self-created exercises in Favourites

Track custom exercises you've created and saved under Favourites for quick access.

4. Manually add calories burned

If your exercise is not listed, you can manually enter the number of calories burned.

Step-by-step guide for recording workouts

1. Automatic Measurement via Apple Health

  1. Go to Settings and open Automatic Measurement.
  2. Tap Activate to connect to Apple Health.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

2. Recording Workouts' from the Standard Training List

  1. Open your diary and press ‘+ “ (either in the bottom menu or next to the ”Workouts’ card).
  2. Select Training and then tap Training.
  3. Scroll through the list and select your activity.
  4. Swipe the exercise to the right to track it directly, or tap it to edit the duration before adding it to the diary.
  5. Tap Add to diary to save it.

3. Recording exercises using favourites

  1. Open your diary and press ‘+ “ (either in the bottom menu or next to the ”Exercises’ card).
  2. Select Exercises and then press Favourites.
  3. Locate your saved workouts.
  4. Tap on the workout to add it.
  5. Tap Add to diary to save it.

4. Manually add calories burned

  1. Open your diary and tap ‘+ “ (either in the bottom menu or next to the ”Workouts’ card).
  2. Select Exercises and then tap Calories.
  3. Enter a title for your activity and the number of calories burned.
  4. Tap Add to diary to save it.
